Apple just officially announced that they will be adding a 128GB version of their iPad 4th gen.
The device is scheduled to be available starting February 5th for a not-so-enticing $799 for the Wi-Fi only model. The cellular model will also be ready for purchase for a whopping $929 before taxes. Other than the storage, the tablet is completely the same as the models just released late last year. If I were looking to buy, I would skip over this product and wait until the next generation iPad. Given Apple’s semi-annual renewal cycle they recently introduced, we could probably expect a 5th Gen iPad relatively soon.
There are actually already pictures surfacing of the 5th Gen iPads new casing, which mirrors the design of the iPad mini released last October with it’s smaller bezels and sleek aluminum casing.
But until that mini gets retina, my iPad 3rd gen will do just fine.
